What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a technology that gradually moves your teeth according to a custom-made prescription without brackets or wires.
The advanced 3D computer imaging technology that we use in the office allows us to create a personalized treatment plan based on your smile and your goals.
A series of removable transparent plastic aligners will then be made for the duration of your Invisalign treatment.
-
How does the Invisalign process work?
Your Invisalign clear aligners are designed to move your teeth very precisely. The aligners are usually worn for two weeks before being replaced by the next set of aligners.
This process will continue until your teeth are properly positioned.
-
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
The length of your Invisalign treatment will depend on your dentist's diagnosis and your specific needs.
A number of factors can determine how long you take, including the position of your teeth or jaw, your bite, and the number of movements needed to treat the problem.

Invisalign Clear Aligners are BPA Free and made with USP Class VI High Molecular Weight Polyurethane Resins.

How often should I change my Invisalign aligners?

-
Can teenagers use Invisalign?
Yes, Invisalign invisible braces are available for adolescents. Invisalign has created a line of aligners to meet the unique needs of adolescents.
Blue-colored indicators on Invisalign aligners allow the patient, parents, and dentist to verify compliance and diligence in wearing aligners, essential for successful treatment.
Invisalign aligners are also designed to allow natural eruption of permanent teeth.
-
How often should I see the dentist?
Since Invisalign aligners do not require any adjustment, visits to your dentist are usually short and take place every 4 to 6 weeks.
During these appointments, the dentist will give you the next pairs of aligners to be replaced every 2 weeks. The dental team will review your progress and adjust your treatment as needed and answer any questions you have.
-
How do I clean my aligners?
Each time you remove the aligners, rinse them. Without this cleaning, cavities and bad breath may occur. Aligners can be soaked in denture cleaner, Retainer Brite, or Invisalign cleaning crystals.
Clean your aligners with a mild, clear antibacterial soap - an easy, inexpensive way to keep them clean, clear, and free from harmful bacteria. Gently brush your aligners so as not to scratch them, then rinse.
Excellent oral hygiene is essential to prevent the onset of cavities and maintain healthy teeth. Food residue and bacteria between your teeth and aligners increase your risk for dental problems and bad breath. So brush your teeth well and floss your teeth before putting your aligners back on.
-
Can I exercise with Invisalign?
Since Invisalign aligners are removable, you can exercise without damaging them.
Remember, you need to plan your time carefully, as you need to wear your Invisalign aligners for at least 22 hours a day.
We also recommend that you invest in a mouthguard. Orthodontic treatment can cause teeth to loosen slightly when they change position, which can make them more susceptible to damage.
-
Can I play my instrument with Invisalign?
Yes, you can simply remove your aligners to play your instrument and put them back on when you're done.
-
How do I store my aligners?
Your Invisalign aligners come with a case, and this is where you should place them every time you take them out to protect them.
